Our vision is shared success through energy solutions and the relationships that build them.
Joule. [ jōōl, joul ]
The SI derived unit used to measure energy or work. One joule (J) is equivalent to one watt-second. (Oxford Languages, 2024)
Energy surrounds us. It is part of almost everything in our lives and a critical ingredient to achieving many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, economic prosperity and quality of life.
At Joule, we see access to clean, reliable, affordable energy as essential to sustainability and peace. Our work is our commitment to puzzle through the complexities and to contribute to energy solutions that help Canadians, and communities, globally.
Communications. [/ke-myoon-e-kāSH(e)n/s]
The imparting or exchanging of information or news; the successful conveying or sharing of ideas and feelings. (Oxford Languages, 2024)
The best technical and policy solutions have communications embedded into them from the start, through early engagement and participation of employees, rightsholders, communities and decision makers to talent attraction and public education.
At Joule, we work to build relationships, content and channels that support progressive policy development and enable development of innovative energy infrastructure. We help organizations build excellence in technical, environmental and social solutions for a sustainable and people-centred future.
We support and strive to emulate the Canadian Public Relations Society’s aspiration for the use of communications to strengthen relationships to achieve the goals of the organization and the public.
“Public Relations is the strategic management of relationships between an organization and its diverse publics, through the use of communication to achieve mutual understanding, realize organizational goals and serve the public interest.”
(Flynn, Gregory & Valin, 2008)
